This tour offers you not only a chance to go fishing but also a chance to take a breather in the woodlands, cross the sand dunes on camelback and feel the serenity of nature. Your travel destinations are: Kharkhorin – the ruins of the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire, Erdene Zuu Monastery – The earliest surviving Buddhist monastery, Elsen Tasarkhai – Sand dunes coexisting with grassland and river. For your fishing grounds: Ogii Lake, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake and Orkhon river of spectacular views awaits you.

The tour focuses on fishing and sightseeing over the Arkhangai, Bulgan, Uvurkhangai and Tuv Provinces. For your fishing grounds: Khangai Mountains, Chuluut River, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, Tamir River, Ugii Lake – are the best picks for fishing. For your main attractions: Kharkhorin, Erdene Zuu Monastery and Elsen Tasarkhai – historic and world heritage sites as well as landscapes with astonishing natural vistas. We also reserved you a day for relaxation, enjoyment and leisure.

Day 1: Our team will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the hotel. We will have a quick look around the city and set off to our journey tomorrow. The night is spent in the hotel. (L + D)


Day 2: A quick tour in Ulaanbaatar. Our first stop is the Gandantegchinlen Monastery with the 26 meters tall statue of Avalokiteśvara in it. Next, we will have small visits on the National Museum of Mongolia History, Government Palace at the Chinggis Square and Zaisan Memorial hill to view the city from above. At the end, enjoy the Tumen-Ekh ensemble, featuring traditional song, music, dance and contortion. (B + L + D = Breakfast, lunch, dinner)


Day 3-4: Our first destination is Ugii Lake, 360 km away from Ulaanbaatar. There, we will hike in the fields, ride on horsebacks, sail on a motor boat and go fishing by the lakeshore. The lake is the home to around 1700 species of birds and 14 species of fish, common ones are: roach, pike, carp and sazans. (B + L + D)


Day 5: Go fishing in the longest river of Mongolia, Orkhon River. Do leisure activities, take photos and eat nomadic foods. (B + L + D)


Day 6: Spend the day at the Tamir River’s bank in Battsengel soum and sleep in a tent. The canvas of stars in the night sky is another wonders of Mongolia. (B + L + D)


Day 7: Next, we will head-out to the Chuluut River. The lake is not only the perfect spot for fishing, but also has water springs and petroglyphs of New Stone Age and Bronze Age. After fishing, visit the nomadic families nearby and be a nomad for a day. (B + L + D)


Day 8-9: Moving along to the Khangai Mountains, you will spot a beautiful light blue lake blended perfectly with background. That is Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, 16km long, 6km wide and 20m deep. On your next day, visit the Khorgo inactive volcano near the lake. (B + L + D)


Day 10: Today, you will visit the popular tourist attractions, such as the Kharkhorin, the world heritage site which, once, served as the capital of the Mongol Empire, Erdene Zuu Monastery, the earliest surviving Buddhist monastery and the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes consisting of both desert and grassland. Day 11: Return to Ulaanbaatar and spend the day for leisure, relaxation and enjoyment. (B + L + D)


Day 12: After an early breakfast, we will drive you to the airport and see you off.

Road conditions

The vast majority of Mongolia's official road network are simple cross-country tracks. Therefore, tours to rural areas are made on unmaintained roads. Nevertheless, main roads connecting the center of Provinces have network of surfaced roads



Ger is a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt and used as a dwelling by nomads in the steppes. Individual gers are simple, cozy and comfortable, usually kitted out with two, three or four wooden beds with bedding, table and chairs. Tourists generally stay in Ger camps with a choice of Felt Ger, Wooden house or Block Ger. Most Ger camps are equipped with a toilet and shower block and have electricity running from a central generator



Mongolian cuisine is a staple food in Mongolia tours, however, Asian & Europian cuisine is also served at your request. A full-course meal of breakfast, lunch and dinner is served throughout the tour. Takeout meal is also prepared for long-distance touring


Baggage allowance

The baggage allowance vary per airline and depend on the class, type of ticket and flight destination. Business class flights generally have baggage allowance of 32kg, while economy class flights have 20 kg and local flights have 10 kg. Hence a maximum weight of 20kg baggage is recommended
