If so, we present you the seven lakes of our best picks: Ogii Lake, Khyargas Lake, Bayan Lake, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, Telmen Lake, Uvs Lake and Khövsgöl Lake – each with their own uniqueness. For instance, Uvs is the biggest and a highly saline lake in Mongolia while Khyargas is a mineral lake which changes its color seasonally due to turbidity.

Day 1: Our team will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the hotel. We will have a quick look around the city and set off to our journey tomorrow. The night is spent in the hotel. (L + D)

Day 2: We will head out to Ugii Lake in Arkhangai Province after you have breakfast in the morning. The day will be spent near the Ugii Lake, doing leisure activities. We will check in at a tourist camp, have lunch, dinner and spend the night at the camp. The Ugii Lake is famous for being a gathering place for birds. (B + L + D = Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Day 3: After breakfast, we will set-off to Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, 250 km away. The lake is available for fishing and sailing. (B + L + D)

Day 4: We will spend the day at the lake for relaxation. The lake has a calm feeling, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of nature. (B + L + D)

Day 5: Our next day is spent at Telmen Lake. The lake is unique for its three small isle and warmness. Even the migratory birds favor this lake particularly. The night is spent at a nearby camp. (B + L + D)

Day 6: Our next stop is Bayan Lake, located 1100 km away from Ulaanbaatar, 14 km long and 8 km wide, known to be a freshwater lake. Unlike the previous lakes, the Bayan Lake is surrounded by sandy features, resembling a beach. (B + L + D)

Day 7: Heading to Khyargas Lake, approximately 200 km away from our last stop, is a mineral lake unique for its seasonally changing colors due to turbidity. The lake has rocky features, making it look like a sea. This time, we will camp outside and have traditional Mongolian cuisine. (B + L + D)

Day 8: The next day is also spent at Khyargas Lake. (B + L + D)

Day 9: Continuing on, we will head to Uvs Lake, the biggest and a highly saline lake in Mongolia. The lake is home to about 362 species of migratory birds in the summer. (B + L + D)

Day 10: The next day, we will head to the Zuungovi soum of Uvs Province and spend the night there. (B + L + D)

Day 11: Our next destination is Bayantes soum of Zavkhan Province. (B + L + D)

Day 12: Also have a visit to the Tsetserleg soum of Khövsgöl Province. (B + L + D)

Day 13: Our last lake is Khövsgöl, freshwater lake, the longest in Mongolia and the second-most voluminous lake in Asia. The surrounding woods, mountains and grass complement the beauty of the lake. One of the best views of nature can be found here. (B + L + D)

Day 14: Heading on, we will visit Bulgan Province, where the, inactive volcano, Uran Togoo Uul lies. The volcano is unique for its tiny lake surrounded with lush greens in its crater. Another 3 inactive volcanoes can be spotted around the sight. (B + L + D)

Day 15: After we had our usual breakfast at the camp, we will move out to Erdenet city and return to Ulaanbaatar. (B + L + D)

Day 16: On our final day, have a quick tour in Ulaanbaatar. Our first stop is the Gandantegchinlen Monastery with the 26 m tall statue of Avalokiteśvara in it. Next, we have small visits on the National Museum of Mongolia History, Government Palace at the Chinggis Square and Zaisan Memorial hill to view the city from above. At the end, enjoy the Tumen-Ekh ensemble, featuring traditional song, music, dance and contortion. (B + L + D)

Road conditions

The vast majority of Mongolia's official road network are simple cross-country tracks. Therefore, tours to rural areas are made on unmaintained roads. Nevertheless, main roads connecting the center of Provinces have network of surfaced roads



Ger is a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt and used as a dwelling by nomads in the steppes. Individual gers are simple, cozy and comfortable, usually kitted out with two, three or four wooden beds with bedding, table and chairs. Tourists generally stay in Ger camps with a choice of Felt Ger, Wooden house or Block Ger. Most Ger camps are equipped with a toilet and shower block and have electricity running from a central generator



Mongolian cuisine is a staple food in Mongolia tours, however, Asian & Europian cuisine is also served at your request. A full-course meal of breakfast, lunch and dinner is served throughout the tour. Takeout meal is also prepared for long-distance touring


Baggage allowance

The baggage allowance vary per airline and depend on the class, type of ticket and flight destination. Business class flights generally have baggage allowance of 32kg, while economy class flights have 20 kg and local flights have 10 kg. Hence a maximum weight of 20 kg baggage is recommended
